Make a Donation

Thank you for your interest in donating an historic artifact to Victoria Settlement and helping to bring history to life for all our visitors.

Victoria Settlement uses carefully selected artifacts to furnish our historic buildings. It is important that we represent their original appearance between 1862 and 1922. We also use artifacts for research. Even items in poor condition, if rare, may provide valuable information to help us furnish the buildings accurately. In some instances, objects are borrowed so they can be documented and reproduced.

While many items are needed, we are not able to accept everything. If you have an item that you think will help us furnish the historic buildings, let us know and we will tell you if it meets the specific furnishing requirements. Please do not bring an artifact to the site to donate it, as all donations must be organized through Victoria Settlement's curator. The staff at the site are not able to accept donations.

Potential donors should contact our curator by telephone or email to discuss the criteria for donating artifacts into the collection. It is recommended you attach a photo of your item to your email, and any information or stories you have about this object.
